Documented QC Between Raw Ponytail And Sealed Carton
Every batch at VeeJeen passes four signed QC gates. Every pack ships with a numbered QC card. This page explains what we test, how we test it, and what happens when a batch fails.
What Gets Signed Off, And By Whom
Each gate has a station manager, a spec sheet, and a batch photo archive.
Raw Material Sign-Off
Handled by intake supervisor. Every ponytail bundle graded before it enters production. Logged against source ledger at intake; weight, moisture, and cuticle direction verified before entry to production.
- Cuticle direction verify
- Weight vs. declared
- Source ledger match
- Moisture < 12%
Color Match Sign-Off
Handled by color lab lead. Every dyed batch spectrometer-checked before assembly. X-Rite Ci64 reflectance spectrometer, every dyed batch measured to ΔE < 2.0 vs. your reference swatch.
- ΔE < 2.0 vs. swatch
- Root-to-tip evenness
- Wash-fastness test
- Batch photo archive
Build Sign-Off
Handled by line manager on each station. Weft, tip, bond strength checked hourly. Documented sign-off by station manager with photo evidence; failures logged in our internal QC tracker.
- Tensile pull > 60N
- Tip weight ± 0.02g
- Bond shear > 4N
- Shed weight < 3%
Final Pack Sign-Off
Handled by shipping supervisor. Every carton photographed and signed before seal. Documented sign-off by station manager with photo evidence; failures logged in our internal QC tracker.
- Barcode & SKU verify
- Moisture seal test
- Carton weight vs. BOM
- Signed QC card inside
How Each Number Is Measured
These are the tools and thresholds we hold every batch to.
| Test | Method | Tool | Threshold | Fail Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Color Match | Reflectance spectrometry | X-Rite Ci64 | ΔE < 2.0 | Re-tone batch |
| Tensile Strength | Single-strand pull to break | Digital force gauge | > 60N | Reject strand batch |
| Bond Shear (K-tip) | Bond-to-plate shear at 90° | Force gauge + fixture | > 4N | Re-bond batch |
| Weft Return | Weft pull-to-separation | Fabric tensile test | > 25N | Re-tie weft |
| Shed Weight | Combed, weighed loss after 50 strokes | 0.01g scale | < 3% | Reject weft |
| Moisture Content | Gravimetric loss after 105°C dry | Moisture analyzer | < 12% | Re-dry batch |
| Cuticle Direction | Microscope root-tip verify | 40x microscope | 100% aligned | Reject bundle |
| Wash Fastness | 10-cycle salon wash simulation | Home laundry rig | No color loss | Re-tone batch |
| Adhesive Peel (tape) | 180° peel from steel plate | Peel adhesion tester | > 8N/25mm | Reject adhesive batch |
| Adhesive Cure (UV) | UV cure at 365nm, 30s | UV curing lamp | Full hardness < 30s | Reject adhesive batch |
| Cuticle Direction Cross-Check | Second technician re-verify | 40x microscope (second unit) | Match rate 100% | Reject bundle |
| Weft Return Load | Weft top-strand pull-to-fail | Digital force gauge | > 25N | Re-tie weft row |
| Reinstall Cycle Test | 3-cycle simulated install/removal | Manual test rig + timer | No adhesive residue on wear cycle 3 | Reject SKU batch |
| Static Cling Rating | Dry combing static index | Electrostatic meter | < 2 kV surface potential | Re-condition batch |
| Root-to-Tip Diameter | Fiber diameter uniformity | Laser micrometer | Δ diameter < 15% | Reject bundle |
Paperwork You Get Without Asking
Every VeeJeen carton has a signed, numbered QC card inside. Every shipment gets a batch report by email.
Batch QC Report
PDF with per-test results for your specific batch, signed by station managers. Every batch carries a serial number that tracks back through color lot, tying station, pack shift, and ship date.
Color Match Card
Physical swatch card in the carton, spectrometer ΔE printed on the back. X-Rite Ci64 reflectance spectrometer, every dyed batch measured to ΔE < 2.0 vs. your reference swatch.
Signed QC Card
Numbered card inside every pack, with pack weight, moisture, and QC signature.
Adhesive MSDS
For every adhesive SKU, in English, refreshed per batch, IATA-DG compliant. Produced in our 50L reactor; chemistry verified by GC-MS before any batch moves to packaging.
What Happens When A Number Misses Spec
Failure is rare, but the response is documented.
Line Halt
Station manager stops the line at first out-of-spec reading. No batch continues to the next room.
Root Cause Log
Failure logged with photos, batch number, and station notes in our internal QC tracker.
Rework Or Reject
Batch is either reworked at the station (color, bond) or rejected outright (cuticle, tensile).
Buyer Notification
If your order was affected, Cici emails you within 4 hours with new lead time and options.
Prevent Recurrence
Recurring failures trigger a station procedure change, signed off by the factory manager.
